The Cherubim Equestrian Centre and Stud Volunteer Project.
Farm Weissenfels...
Situated ±110km from Windhoek, the capital of Namibia (1,5 hour drive). The farm is 5600ha large, and our closest neighbour is 15km away. The Equestrian Centre consists of stabling facilities, a dressage arena, lunging circles and stone kraals for one-on-one work with difficult horses.
The Team...
Horse trainers, Moses Veldskoendraer and Ramona Woop from Germany, form an excellent team. Owners, Rosi and Winston, are responsible for the breeding of the Weissenfels horses. The horse selection for each rider is established on the experience and knowledge of the visiting rider. The team also looks at the compatibility of horse and rider to make sure that the horse receives the best trainer for its needs. Considerable effort is made to create excellent opportunities for all riders to develop their own skills. Volunteers visit us on a regular basis. It is imperative to have the ability to work independently. You will need self-motivation and a sense of creativity to enhance and inspire the horses placed under your care for the duration of your stay. Volunteers are guided through their own programmes and training schedules to make sure that the requirements of each horse is met.
